Golf:
The village of Villafranca has its own 9-hole golf course. You will find a number of additional golf courses in the village’s immediate surroundings, some of which are famous.
Swimming:
The possibility to swim starts in you own garden with a private 8x4m swimming pool.
At a ten-minute walk from the villa, within the village park, there is an Olympic-size swimming pool, which meets the highest athletic requirements. Professional athletes from all over Italy come here to train in spring and autumn. In summer time, local residents and tourists mainly use the pool.
Between La Spezia and Viareggio, at a 15-minute drive from Filetto, The 40 km long sand beaches provide ample opportunity to relax in luxury and enjoy all the pleasures of the Mediterranean.
In the surrounding natural reserves (see “Hiking”) there are a number of natural lakes and pools, which allow you to swim in free nature.

Winter fun:
In the direct surroundings at less than a thirty-minute drive, you will find various skating rinks, and fully equipped slopes for alpine skiing and marked tracks for cross-country skiing.
A little further away, at about a 90 minute drive, is the well-known skiing resort of Abettone.
