In this Tuscan villa, located in Villafranca in Lunigiana, the good life starts in and around your own house. From the house and the ground, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the ‘Alpi Apuane’, the Italian Alps. At a short walking distance (200 meter) of the village is the medieval inhabited Borgo di Filetto, which combines history, culture, theatre and fine dining, in short all the good things of life.

 

Enjoying the village life:
The lively village attracts many tourists in summer time, and the villa’s location allows you to enjoy all the village activities without suffering from any of its hassle.

In summer time, the lively village has weekly activities in the borgo such as antique markets, music and other theatre performances, medieval games etc..

  

Restaurants and bars are all at walking distance , as are all the shops you may need. You will also find a train station with direct connections to Pisa, Parma and Florence as well as – as of recent – the village’s own golf course.

 

Enjoying around the village:
Villafranca is surrounded by the Italian Alps and three magnificent protected natural reserves. The Parco Nazionale dell’Appenino Tosco Emilliano and the Parco Nazionale dei Cento Laghi which provides for long quiet hikes in the summer and excellent skiing in winter time. The third reserve is part of Unesco world heritage: the world famous Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre which can only accessed on foot, by boat or by rail. All within a range of 30 kilometers!

  

Enjoying spectacular day trips:
The villa is excellently located for cultural excursions to exquisite places such as Lucca, Pietrasanta, Pisa, Florence, Lerici, Portovenere, Rappallo, Porto Fino, Genua or Parma.

  

Tired of all the hiking, sightseeing and shopping? The 40 km long sand beaches between La Spezia and Viareggio provide ample opportunity to relax in luxury and enjoy all the pleasures of the Mediterranean Sea.

 

Enjoyment in and around the house:

The garden can easily be landscaped to your own taste and can be accessed by car through two entrances. There is a lasting view of the Carrara mountains and the garden provides excellent sun and shade.

An 8 x 4 m swimming pool with filter installation provides refreshment. A restored antique well provides drinking water but there are also municipal water pipes to water the garden.

Part of the grounds has the legal status of building grounds, which allows for the additional construction of a double garage, stable or barn.
